Visit The Seattle Great Wheel
Literally on the pier on the downtown Seattle waterfront, the Seattle Great Wheel is one of the newest attractions in Seattle Washington. The towering Ferris wheel stands 17 stories over Pier 57 and offers panoramic views of Seattle and Elliott Bay. There are 42 fully-enclosed gondolas, one of them is a VIP gondola with a glass bottom and leather seating for 4 adults. – it’s available for a higher price and get’s you to the front of the line. The other 41 gondolas each hold eight adults.
Plan ahead during the busy summer months as the line can get a little long. Reservations are not taken so it’s first-come-first-served.

The Great Wheel actually extends almost 40 feet past the end of the pier over Elliott Bay and is the largest observation wheel on the west coast of the United States. It’s 175 feet tall and weighs 280,300 pounds (127,141 kg).
