 Wenatchee
Wenatchee is a beautiful river front city in Eastern Washington

The Apple Capital of the World

What lies smack dab in the center of Washington state, is the Apple Capital of the World, and offers a goldmine of adventure for the family, friends, and business people alike? Why the Wenatchee Valley of course!

Whether it's spring, summer, winter or fall, you'll find something you love to do in Wenatchee. With four distinct seasons and 300 gloriously sunshine-filled days a year; you'll feel like you're in heaven here! And the best part is, there's something fun for everyone.

If you're a snow lover: there's skiing and snowboarding just 12 miles away at Mission Ridge. With 2,000 acres of groomed runs and open slopes, skiers and snowboarders will jump for joy. Did we mention the breathtaking views from the top? For those of you who prefer to stay inside, you can enjoy an afternoon of ice skating at the Riverfront Ice Arena.

If you've arrived for an experience with nature, Wenatchee offers outdoor enthusiasts a wealth of adventure---from boating, swimming, water-skiing, kayaking, rafting, golfing, hiking, and camping to hunting and fishing. If you're a road or mountain biker: you'll love the miles of mountain trails and the Apple Capital Loop Trail; an 10-mile paved loop that meanders beside both the Western and Eastern shores of the Columbia River. Golf enthusiasts will not lack for exciting places to swing a club. Experience classic Scottish links-style golf at the Highlander Golf Club and desert "Target" golf at it's best at Desert Canyon Golf Resort.

If you're more into local excursions, you'll find a cultural gem within the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center. Or visit our charming downtown, which features modern boutiques, an old-fashioned soda fountain, eclectic shops, an antiques mall, and trendy restaurants. If you're in the mood, take a walking tour of our historical downtown buildings or enjoy a self-guided tour of our Art on the Avenues, a 62 piece outdoor gallery of sculptures. If you are looking for some high-speed action, you'll want to visit the Wenatchee Valley's Super Oval, the world's fastest quarter-mile oval race track.

Ohme Gardens State Park in Washington overlooks the city of Wenatchee One place you don't want to miss is the stunning Ohme Gardens. Located on a rocky bluff overlooking the Wenatchee Valley and the Columbia River, it's one of the most famous alpine gardens in America. Spend a fun-filled and educational day at Rocky Reach Dam! Beautiful grounds and fascinating exhibits make Rocky Reach Dam one of the Pacific Northwest's most popular attractions.

Don't worry if you can't fit everything in this time. We'll be here anxiously awaiting your return; whether it's spring, summer, winter or fall.
